One of the many reasons I love TV is because it's yet another outlet for finding incredible songs - and today's song I first heard on CSI New York. From the fantastically named 'Electric Mistress,' 20 Girl is a haunting, melancholy trip which feels tired yet restless. Mixing guitars with strings and heavy, emotive vocals gives an acoustic feel to the song, but it's not dragging by any means. The chorus hooks with the repetition, and lyrically there are some great points (It's so easy/On your own) which contrast with the mood of the song. A soothing paradox for the tired soul.
