Stepping things up with a little alt-rock today, and my new favourites Royal Republic. With sweet little riffs and crashing drums, this song is catchy as hell - but, as usual, that's not all. There's something that invites comparisons to The Strokes in Good To Be Bad, but I can't decide if it's in the vocals or the melody. Wherever it stems from, it's clearly a good thing. The lyrics to the song are interesting too, an ode to walking on the wilder side (I do not compromise/Don't need your good advice/I'm sure I've heard it once, twice.) All in all, a great bit of alternative to get you through the day.
