If you're finding it hard to get yourself amped up after a lovely bank holiday weekend - which I am - or just need that little boost on a Tuesday, this is the song for you. The Gossip's brand of guitar driven electro-pop is always willing to give you a little extra energy. 2012 has everything you'd expect - fast paced, catchy melody, lyrics sharp as knives (Tragedy brings misery/Misery loves company/And company is misleading), and the instantly recognisable vocals. While the band tend to be love or hate, this is a song that should convince at least some of the haters to reconsider - as always, open your mind and give it a shot.
