The Vaccines - What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?'

Mixing things up a little bit today is the album which has been on repeat since it arrived this morning. What Did You Expect From The Vaccines is one of those albums that can stay permanently in a CD player because you know that it has a song for any mood.

As regular readers (or people looking through the archives) may know, this blog has been a fan of The Vaccines (see SOTD post here), and this album signals the start of a long love affair. A return to the rock'n'roll era that's been sorely missed, The Vaccines fill a gaping hole in the music scene at the moment.

The album was just released today, but it's definitely a divider of opinions - give it a shot, it's worth it.

The Vaccines - Post Break Up Sex

Recently hailed as the saviors of the music scene, The Vaccines are on a meteoric rise. Unlike some of the recent 'next big things' (and yes, I mean you Jessie J), this tag is well deserved. Post Break Up Sex is the excellent new song from the band, heralding a return to form for the guitar rock scene. Deceptively simple, but layered with emotion and intention - watch out for the debut album, due out March 14th.
