Marina and the Diamonds are masters of witty, cutting lyrics in a bright pop package, and that's a huge part of the charm of debut 'The Family Jewels.' Oh No is an outstanding example of this, with a tune infectious enough to warrant a warning. Yet the lyrics are a cynical, perceptive take on modern life, epitomised in the well known line - TV taught me how to feel/Now real life has no appeal. This is the perfect song to get you ready for a Saturday night, whatever you're doing, and the rest of the album is worth a listen too.
