The Editors - Blood

Having first seen the Editors as a support band (for Franz Ferdinand incase you were wondering), a love affair has blossomed. With incredible vocals, instantly identifiable, and melodies which are at once compelling and totally unique, the Editors are a band that slot perfectly into the gap left between mainstream and alternative. Blood, from debut album 'The Back Room', is a driven, piercing tune, with selective and precise lyrics (Blood runs through your veins/That's where our similarities end.) The Editors are masters of the minimalist approach to lyricism, yet there is so much meaning packed into their songs it is impossible not to love them. They've come along way from a support act - they should be headlining your music selection tonight.
