Oh, the days we spend trying to recreate our teens - how useful to have songs like Last Summer to help us recreate the mood. This song is perhaps the most readily relatable songs I've ever heard, with everyone able to evoke a memory, a story, even a feeling. With exactly the right balance between melody and vocals, there is a sense of longing and urgency which is conveyed at the most accessible level (Things are good like this/These are times we'll miss). Unfortunately, true anthems like this are rare these days, so take a break from searching them out and enjoy the golden days of the Lostprophets summer.
